<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> July 9, 1980 <br /> Shoreline Mayor Hanson informed the Council that July 10, 1980 at 3:00 P.M. <br /> Ordinance in the City Center there would be a meeting of the Kohlman-Keller Lakes <br /> Association regarding the shoreline ordinance. This is a model ordinance <br /> that has been adopted by the state. <br /> The Mayor stated that if the City should adopt such an ordinance, Little <br /> Canada should identify every body of water in Little Canada as being a <br /> lake or not a lake. <br /> County Road The Mayor informed the Council that the County has overlaid County Road D. <br /> p The Mayor suggested that the City of Little Canada and the City of Vadnais <br /> Heights cooperate in lighting County Road D. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that he was not in favor of the City of Little <br /> Canada picking up any of the cost for lighting County Road D. Fahey <br /> stated that the City of Vadnais Heights should pay the entire cost. <br /> Hanson felt that from a standpoint of public safety the City of Little <br /> Canada should participate in the cost. <br /> Councilman DeBace suggested that he study the matter and see what he could <br /> come up with. <br /> Councilman Fahey felt the matter should be referred to the County. <br /> Ramsey Mayor Hanson stated that he was still working on the letter to the County <br /> County listing all the problems that Little Canada has that the County should <br /> be rectifying. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze suggested the letter include the suggestion for a <br /> three-way stop on Keller and Arcade Street and an inquiry as to the <br /> installation of the bike path that the County was to put in Little <br /> Canada. <br /> Hanson also stated that he would include the subject of the lighting <br /> on County Road D in the letter. <br /> Senior Mayor Flanson reported that the City fanner has met with Mr. Schrier. <br /> Citizen Mr. Schrier is interested in developing residential on the 100 foot <br /> Housing strip on the vest of his property that the City was suggesting remain <br /> vacant as a buffer to the residential area. The Planner informed the <br /> Mayor that Mr. Schrier is also going to check with Frankie Frattalone <br /> as to how he proposes to develop his property in this area. Schrier <br /> would like the development of the whole area planned. <br /> The Planner also informed the Mayor that the deadline for application <br /> for community block grants is November. The people from HUD are putting <br /> together some information on how to apply for block grants. <br /> Councilpersons Fahey and Scalze stated that they saw nothing wrong with <br /> developing the 100 foot strip as residential. Flanson stated that the <br /> City Planner would have a proposal from Mr. Schrier ready for the next <br /> meeting. <br /> Page -16- <br /> <br />
