<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> July 9, 1980 <br /> Morrison The Engineer reported that the Morrison drainage project is completed. <br /> Drainage The County will be cleaning the pipe in this area and then the drainage <br /> will start to work. <br /> Citizen Mayor Hanson informed the Council that the Canadian Days Committee would <br /> Of The like to give a citizen of the year award during the Canadian Days <br /> Year Celebration. The Committee would like nominations to come from the <br /> Award City Council or any of the orgahizations in the City. They would then <br /> like the Council to make the determination of the award. <br /> It was the feeling of Council that determination of such an award should <br /> be made by the Canadian Days Committee. Councilman Fahey suggested that <br /> the Committee could do it on behalf of the City. <br /> Flomer Mayor Hanson reported that Flomer Dole has cut the grass on his property, <br /> Dole but he has not done anything to repair the house. <br /> Matter <br /> Attorney Parks suggested that he approach Mr. Dole and this matter and <br /> see if he can get some results. <br /> Parking Mayor Hanson reported that he received a call from someone who was parked <br /> In Public in the public easement of Park Street between County Road B-2 and Demont. <br /> Easement Per. Villeau, owner of the trailer court in that area, told this person that <br /> he could not park in that easement. <br /> The Attorney stated that it is legal to park in an easement as long as <br /> there were are no signs prohibiting parking. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggestedihat Mr. Villeau should be informed that he <br /> cannot stop private citizens from parking in that easement. <br /> Tri-Plex The Council received a report that the duplex on Twin Lake Road may <br /> Twin Lake still be operating as a tri-plex. Councilman Fahey suggested that <br /> Road this matter be referred to the Building Inspector. Fahey stated <br /> that if the duplex is still operating as a tri-plex, the owner should <br /> either be fined or issued a citation. <br /> Increase The City`s Electrical Inspector has suggested to Council that the City <br /> In increase its electrical permit fees effective January 1, 1981 to-bring <br /> Electrical the City's fees in line with those of other cities. <br /> Permit Fees <br /> Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-7-260 - APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE <br /> CITY'S ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1981 <br /> AS PROPOSED BY THE CITY'S ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR <br /> Page -17- <br /> <br />
