<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> July 9, 1980 <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-7-240 - APPROVING THE VACATION OF THE <br /> PARTIAL CUL-DE-SAC ON NORTH PAYNE AVENUE ABUTTING LOT 2, <br /> BLOCK 2 PAYNE AVENUE ADDITION IN SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 29, <br /> RANGE 22, RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Hanson, Nadeau, DeBace. <br /> Naves (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 153. <br /> Cameron Mr. Richard Grekoff of Cameron Development appeared before the Council< <br /> Development Cameron Development is proposing the development of a piece of property <br /> located on the south side of Highway 36 and north of County Road B. The <br /> property would be developed in three phases. The first phase would be a <br /> mini-warehouse facility and phases II and III are proposed as office <br /> warehousing. Mr. Grekoff stated that the existing ponding areas on the <br /> property would be used for drainage purposes. <br /> Mr. Grekoff stated that he was at tonight's meeting to ask for approval <br /> of PUD zoning for the property and specific approval of the first phase <br /> of the development. Mr. Grekoff would like concept approval of the <br /> remaining Phases II and III. <br /> Mr. Grekoff also reported to the Council that the Planning Commission has <br /> recommended approval of the project. <br /> Mr. Grekoff informed the Council that the City Engineer informed him that <br /> there would not be much of a problem with drainage in the area. Grekoff <br /> also intends to use the existing vegetation as a buffer to the surrounding <br /> residential homes. <br /> Mr. Gilbert, a neighboring property owner, expressed concern with what <br /> the development would do to the drainage in the back corner of his <br /> property. Gilbert stated that he would like this section of his property <br /> filled in to prevent water on his property. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that the City could put any restrictions it wished <br /> on the building permit at the time final approval was given to Phase I of <br /> the project. Fahey stated that right now the Council was only considering <br /> approval of the PUD zoning. <br /> Mr. Steven Marche of 71 County Road B asked Mr. Grekoff if there would be <br /> any privacy fencing along his property to buffer his home from the <br /> development. Mr. Grekoff stated that there would be some type of <br /> screening. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that by making the whole piece of property a PUD <br /> Council would have better control. <br /> Page -2- <br /> <br />
