Construction on the second building will be getting underway
shortly. Mr. Lee asked if he needed extension on the preliminary
resolution passed on October 9, 1978 approving these buildings.
The City Clerk replied that the City's ordinance does not have a
time period governing this, and therefore, an extension is not necessary.
The Attorney stated that in order to give final approval to Yorkton
Industrial Building A Project, the Council should pass a resolution ap-
proving the Note Resolution and Yorkton Limited has submitted.
Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 80-8-303 - APPROVING THE NOTE RESOLUTION
SUPPLIED BY YORKTON
LIMITED
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson.
ayes (4) DeBace, Hanson, Fahey, Nadeau.
Nayes (0).
Mrs. Scalze abstained as she was not present during the discussion.
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 194.
Noise Control The City Attorney reported that he is still working on the noise control
Ordinance ordinance for the City. Mr. Parks stated that he should have this
& Land Fill ordinance ready for the September 10 Council meeting.
Ordinance
Attorney Parks informed the Council that he has been working on a land
fill ordinance for the City. A problem that he has run into is the
amount of fill the City would like to set for the requiring of a
permit. Mr. Parks suggested the figure of 1,000 cubic yards.
The Mayor stated that in some area 1,000 yards of fill would be too
much, but in other area 1,000 yards would have no effect. Hanson
stated that he felt a fill permit should always be referred to the City
Engineer for the effect the filling will have on the surrounding
property.
Council and the City Engineer felt that a limit of 500 yards of fill
should be set before a permit is required.
Page -15-
