<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> August 13, 1980 <br /> Mr. Fahey felt that the word "subsidized" should be added to the first page, <br /> last paragraph, first sentence of the July 30, Special Council Meeting <br /> minutes so that the phrase would read "subsidized low and moderate income <br /> housing Councilman Fahey also felt that the fourth paragraph on the <br /> second page of these minutes should be deleted in its entirety. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-8-282 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br /> JULY 30, 1960 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING WITH TI-IE ABOUE <br /> OUTLINED AMENDMENTS <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br /> Ayes (5) Fahey, Hanson, Scalze, Nadeau, DeBace. <br /> Noyes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 180. <br /> Seon Mr. Seon Anderson appeared before the Council requesting approval of <br /> Anderson a conditional use permit so that he can construct and operate a <br /> Conditional duplex at 2698 Lakeshore Avenue. <br /> Use Permit <br /> The City Clerk reported that all property owners within 350 feet <br /> of 2698 Lakeshore Avenue were notified of Mr. Anderson's request. <br /> Mr. Dennis Be1tman of 135 Lake Street appeared before the Council and <br /> submitted to Council a petition of the surrounding property owners who <br /> are opposed to the granting of this permit. Mr. Beltman stated that <br /> the petition contained 30 names of property owners who were opposed <br /> to the duplex. <br /> Mr. Dale Sevre of 2604 Lakeshore Avenue appeared before the Council <br /> to state that he was opposed to the conditional use permit for the <br /> duplex being g^anted. <br /> Mrs. Joann Nagle of 145 Lake Street appeared and stated that she was <br /> concerned that another duplex in the area could bring property values <br /> down. Mrs. Nagle was opposed to the granting of the permit. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze stated that the City's present code allows one <br /> duplex to ten single family homes. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that of the 33 single family homes in the area <br /> there are presently 4 duplexes also in this area. <br /> Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-8-283 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON <br /> THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR MR. SEON ANDERSON <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br /> ayes (5) Nadeau, Flanson, Fahey, DeBace, Scalze. <br /> Noyes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 181.
