<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> August 13, 1980 <br /> Park & Mrs. Scalze reported that between April 15 and August 15 22 park permits <br /> Recreation for picnics were granted and 59 ball field permits were given out. These <br /> Report were mostly to Little Canada citizens. <br /> 105 kids have registered for soccer. These children are in grades <br /> two through nine and will make up 8 teams. <br /> 26 children grades 2 through 9 have registered ~r football. This is <br /> enough for two teams. The Recreation Department would like more <br /> registrants for the football program. <br /> The softba17 program was made up of 11 teams. Six of these teams made <br /> the play-offs. None won, however. <br /> Baseball program had 11 teams. Two made the play-offs, but none won. <br /> There were also two instructional teams in the baseball program. <br /> 64 children were signed up for swimming lessons. <br /> Mrs. Scalze also reported that some people are interested in taking <br /> the lumber from the old warming house. Council was agreeable to this. <br /> Mayor Hanson also reported that the trail system has been started. <br /> Mrs. Scalze reported that she notified the Water Department about the <br /> construction of the additional hockey rink. Jim Morelan of the Recreation <br /> Department reminded the Council that water will be needed down at this <br /> additional rink. The City Engineer stated that he will look into this. <br /> Canadian Councilman Fahey asked the cost of the damages caused to the school <br /> Days property from the Canadian Days Celebration. <br /> Mayor Hanson reported that the Canadian Days Committee will be paying <br /> the costs of all damages. The only cost the City pays for Canadian <br /> Days is $2,500 which is allocated for advertising. <br /> Transfer Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> Of Revenue <br /> Sharing RESOLUTION N0. 80-8- 312 - AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF <br /> Funds 10,343.00 FROM THE REVENUE SHARING FUND TO THE GENERAL <br /> FUND <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> /{yes (5) Fahey, Nadeau, DeBace, Scalze, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 200. <br /> Page -22- <br /> <br />
