<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> August 13, 1980 <br /> The City Planner stated that if the Council did not rezone all three lots <br /> on Jackson Street, the rezoning would constitute spot zoning. <br /> Councilman Nadeau stated that the City could grant permission fora duplex <br /> with a conditional use permit. <br /> Mr. Borg asked that the Council consider the surrounding property in making <br /> their decision. Mr. Borg stated that this was not a residential area. <br /> Councilman Nadeau stated that he was in favor of a duplex rather than a <br /> tri-plex. <br /> The Planner stated that the Council could require of St. Jude's Medical <br /> the dedication of an easement for the improvement of Jackson Street. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-8-286 - DENYING THE REQUEST OF MR. PAUL <br /> BORG FOR THE REZONING OF HIS PROPERTY FROM R-1 TO R-2 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> Ayes (5) Fahey, Nadeau, Hanson, Scalze, DeBace. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 183. <br /> Mr. Borg asked the Council to then consider the approval of a conditional <br /> use permit which would allow him to operate a duplex. <br /> The City Attorney stated that the Council will have to call fora public <br /> hearing to consider this request. All property owners within 350 feet <br /> will have to be notified. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION PIO. 80-8-287 - <br /> A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE SEPTEMBER <br /> 10, 1980 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST <br /> OF MR. PAUL BORG FORA CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT <br /> AND OPERATE A DUPLEX ON HIS PROPERTY <br /> THE foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (5) Hanson, Scalze, DeBace, Nadeau, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 183. <br /> St. Jude Mr. bob Burrow, the architect on the St. Jude Medical project, appeared <br /> Medical before the Council.
