<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> October 8, 1980 <br /> Senior Mrs. Kelbe of 2576 Edgerton has applied for a senior citizen deferment <br /> Citizen of the assessments against her property. <br /> Deferment <br /> Mrs. Kelbe Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-10-386 - APPROVING TFIE SENIOR CITIZEN <br /> DEFERMENT OF ThiE ASSESSMENTS AGAINST TFIE KELBE PROPERTY <br /> AT 2576 EDGERTON <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (5) DeBace, Scalze, Hanson, Nadeau, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 251. <br /> Maplewood The Engineer reported that the Maplewood Engineer informed him that a <br /> Sedimentation dike is being built in the vicinity of the Scully and Pogreba property. <br /> Pond Engineer Carley stated that it is the intention that this will become <br /> an extension of Beam Avenue in the future. <br /> Mr. John Scully reported to the Council that this dike is covering <br /> his fence and is partially on his property. Mr. Scully stated that a <br /> pond is being make and the dike surrounds the pond. <br /> Mrs. Scalze stated that the dike will be 10 feet high. <br /> Mr. Jim Pogreba reported to the Council that the City of Maplewood has not <br /> issued the contractor working in the area in question any permits. The <br /> Watershed District gave the contractor verbal permission for a pond for <br /> future development that will be going in east of the area. <br /> Mrs. Scalze stated that 'the contractor has constructed three north-south <br /> vertical dikes. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that the City of Maplewood must have given the <br /> contractor some permits. Mr. Pogreba stated that only grading permits <br /> have been granted. <br /> Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the contractor is building these <br /> dikes and they are on the property line. The contractor has also plugged <br /> Per. Scully's ditch. <br /> Councilman DeBace suggested that the City should talk to the City of <br /> Maplewood. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggested that the contractor be given a citation for <br /> filling on other people's property. <br /> Mr. Pogreba informed Council that the contractor is interfering with <br /> a natural waterway. <br /> Page -8- <br /> <br />
