<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> November 5, 1980 <br /> The City Clerk reported that the St. Paul Water Department staff has approved <br /> the building. The Water Board now has to approve it. The Board will meet <br /> on November 19 and act on this subject at that time. The City Clerk further <br /> stated that the staff sees no problem with the Board's approving the <br /> building and the Clerk recommended that construction could start on the <br /> building before November 19. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that the building should have at least 1/2 inch <br /> thick glass for windows. Jim Morelan replied that lexon will be used <br /> for the windows and this product will not break. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-11-411 - AWARDING THE WARMING FIOUSE BID TO <br /> CLYDE HOFFMAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLANS FOR THE <br /> METAL ROOF AND WOOD TRUSSES WITH THE UNDERSTANDING TEIAT MR. JIM <br /> MORELAN DISCUSS WITH MR. HOFFMAN THE PROVISION FOR AN ADD-ON <br /> TO THE PROJECT TO ARRANGE FORA STRONGER INTERLOR METAL CEILING <br /> SURFACE <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Hanson, DeBace, Nadeau. <br /> Nayes (O). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 266. <br /> The City Clerk recommended approval of the 13th Rider to the Agreement <br /> with the Water Department. This rider deals with the construction of the <br /> warming house on Water Department property. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-11-412 - APPROVING THE THIRTEENTH RIDER <br /> TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE WATER DEPARTMENT <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace, <br /> ayes (5) Scalze, DeBace, Hanson, Nadeau, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0 <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 267. <br /> Frattalone The City Attorney reported that he spoke with Mr. Bob Rudy of Shafer <br /> Claim Construction. Mr. Rudy reported that Shafer Construction has no intention <br /> Against of paying the Frattalone claim in the amount of $136.30. Shafer Construction <br /> Shafer also informed the Attorney that if the City holds up their final payment <br /> Construction due to this claim, they will take legal action against the City to get <br /> the money. Shafer Construction feels the claim is not justified and will <br /> not pay it on the principle of the matter. <br /> Page -3- <br /> <br />
