FRED CLASEN TO
THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO FILL THE REMAINING TERM OF
MR. FRANK WINIECKI OF TWO YEARS AND ONE MONTH
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze.
ayes (5) Nadeau, Scalze, Hanson, DeBace, Fahey.
Nayes (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 283.
4-Way Stop Councilman DeBace reported that the City has received a request from Mr.
Sign At Himmelback for a 4-way stop sign at the intersection of LaBore and Arcade
LaBore & Street.
Arcade
Mosted Councilman DeBace reported that Mr. Mosted has requested that the grate
Request at the culvert into Lake Gervais be left on during the summer and the
winter. Mr. Mosted hopes this will prevent snowmobilers from running
onto his property. Mr. DeBace stated that the maintenance people feel
it would be better to leave the grate on, but this may cause snowmobilers
to run over the Mosted property even more.
DeBace stated that when the grate is left off in the winter, the City
can't get it on .early enough to catch the logs and other debree that
goes into the lake.
The City Clerk reported that the City has not been able to get liability
insurance coverage for snowmobilers. Councilman DeBace commented that
if the City can't get insurance it cannot give the snowmobilers permission
to use City property.
Councilman Fahey suggested the City Attorney look into this.
Councilman DeBace also suggested that Attorney look into the ramifications
of snowmobilers running around the grate and onto the Mosted property.
West Winds Councilman DeBace reported that the Westwinds has requested that they be
Street allowed to erect ornamental street lights and turn them over to the City.
Lights
Councilman Madeau stated that he was opposed to this as if Westwinds erects
their own lights and turns them over to the City, the City will have to
maintain the lights and pay for the electricity. However, if NSP erects
the lights, the City only has to pay for the electricity.
Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-11-439 - INFORMING THE WESTWINDS ADDITION DEVELOPER
THAT THEY SHOULD CONTRACT WITH NSP FOR STREET LIGIiTING AND THE CITY
WILL NOT ACCEPT THE STREET LIGHTS IF WESTWINDS ERECTS THESE LIGHTS
THEMSELVES
Paae -17-
