<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> November 12, 1980 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br /> ayes (5) Scalze, DeBace, Hanson, Fahey, Nadeau. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution book No. 6, Page 273. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggested that another hearing be called on Lake Street. <br /> The Engineer suggested that he could bring in a feasibility report at <br /> that time on Lake Street. <br /> Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-11-422 - TABLING ACTION ON 7HE PETITION <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENT N0. 81-3, THE IMPROVEMENT OF PARK STREET <br /> FROM DEMONT TO COUNTY ROAD C, UNTIL THE JANUARY, 1981 <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> ayes (5) Fahey, Nadeau, Hanson, DeBace, Scalze. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 274. <br /> Sharon Timmons asked the Council why they did not wait until there was <br /> an indication from the property owners along Lake Street before the <br /> improvement is asked for. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that there was a lot of commercial property on <br /> Park Street. Fahey questioned whether this commercial traffic should <br /> go through a residential neighborhood or go right on County Road C or <br /> from Lake Street to Rice Street. <br /> Sharon Timmons then asked how much a feasibility report cost. The Engineer <br /> stated that this report could run $500. <br /> Mayor Hanson suggested that the feasibility report be for the improvement <br /> of Lake Street from Spruce to Rice and that a hearing be set for the January <br /> meeting. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION M0. 80-11-423 - INSTRUCTING ThIE CITY ENGINEER TO <br /> PREPARE A FEASIBILITY REPORT ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF LAKE <br /> STREET FROP1 SPRUCE STREET TO RICE STREET AND ANOTFIER FEASIBILITY <br /> REPORT ON THE POSSIBILITY OF Fl CUL-DE-SAC ON THE SOUTH END OF <br /> THE PROPOSED PARK STREET <br /> TFIE foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (5) Hanson, Scalze, DeBace, Fahey, Nadeau. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Pages 274 and 275. <br /> Page -8- <br /> <br />
