<br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> November 19, 1980 <br /> Dennis Forsberg also mentioned that the Sheriff's Department provides <br /> a service of watching a house while the family is on vacation. <br /> Councilman Fahey asked if a citizen can make an arrest ofi someone who <br /> is speeding. The City Attorney replied that this could be done, but <br /> the citizen cannot go in hot pursuit of the speeder like the Sheriff's <br /> Department can do. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-11-451 - APPROVING THE 1981 CONTRACT <br /> WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD FOR POLICE PROTECTION <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> ayes (3) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page ?.90. <br /> Division A representative of Granada Homes appeared before the Council and requested <br /> Of the division of 10 feet from Lot 13 in the Payne Avenue Addition and that the <br /> Property 10 feet being joined with the 66 feet of vacated A11en Avenue, thus forming <br /> On Payne a buildable lot. The gentleman informed the Council that when he bought <br /> Avenue this property from Mr. Herb Garske, Mr. Garske stated that this division <br /> had already been done. Therefore, Granada Homes has already built a house <br /> on this property. It has now come to their attention that the division <br /> was never brought before the City Council. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze stated that Lot 13 presently is 103 feet wide. With <br /> the division of the 10 feet from the Lot there will still be 93 feet <br /> remaining, which meets City requirements for lot size. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-11-452 - APPROVING THE SUBDIVISION OF THE <br /> SOUTH 10 FEET OF LOT 13, BLOCK 1 AND TFIAT PART OF THE NORTH 1/2 <br /> OF ADJOINING ALLEN AVENUE, VACATED, LYING BETWEEN THE <br /> EXTENSIONS ACROSS SAID AVENUE OF THE EAST AND WEST LINES <br /> OF SAID LOT 13; AND TI1AT PART OF 7HE SOUTH 1/2 OF ALLEN <br /> AVENUE ADJOINING LOT 1, BLOCK 2, VACATED, LYING BETWEEN THE <br /> EXTENSIONS ACROSS SAID AVENUE OF THE EAST AND WEST LINES <br /> OF SAID LOT 1; ALL IN NORTH PAYNE AVENUE ADDITION, RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (3) Hanson, Scalze, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 291. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggested that the City Pttorney review the City's building <br /> permit form. Attorney Parks suggested that there should be a statement on <br /> the form saying that the City does not incur liability for failure to comply <br /> with City code regarding setback requirements, etc. <br /> Page -8- <br /> <br />
