MINUTES <br />C9ty Council <br />January 14, 1987 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />/{yes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 23. <br />Round Lake Mayor Hanson informed Council that they were a71 invited to a grand <br />Shopping opening that the Round Lake Shopping Center will be having on January <br />Center 24 at 2P.M. <br />Zoning Mrs. Nardini reported that there has been a request for a license for <br />& a sign for the upholstery shop being operated out of the mini-warehouses <br />Building that Mr. Stenger built. P~rs. Nardini asked the Planner to look over the <br />Report plans for this mini-warehouse and give the Council a report regarding <br />the upholstery business being operated out of the mini-warehouses. <br />P~rs. Nardini informed the Council that she looked over the Soldow <br />building files and determined that the Building Inspector made two <br />inspections on this home. P~rs. Nardini also determined from the City's <br />files that a building permit was never taken out for Carl Spooner's <br />garage, and therefore no inspection was ever made. <br />Mrs. Nardini also commented that Mr. Squires is unhappy about going <br />through this questioning by the Council each year. <br />The Mayor informed the Council that should they have any complaints <br />about the Bui7ding Inspector they should channel them through Mrs. Nardini. <br />Mrs. Nardini commented that she would be working very closely with a71 <br />the inspectors. <br />Utility Mr. Forsberg informed the Council that he now has job descript9ons on <br />Reports the Utility Department personnel. Mr. Forsberg also stated that he would <br />be meeting with Roger 6lanzer the first part of next week. <br />St. Jude's Mrs. Scalze reported that St. Jude's was of the opinion that they would <br />Park not have.to pay a park charge, or that they wou7d be delayed until 1983. <br />Charge St. Jude's felt the 100 foot strip of buffer they were leaving around <br />their development would be enough in the way of a park charge. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that the Flttorney gave the Park Commission some ideas <br />on how to assess St. Jude's for a park charge. The Park Commission has <br />come up with a figure of $16,000. St. Jude's stated that they would be <br />willing to pay $7,500 at the occupancy of Phase I. <br />The Park Commission then settled on a figure of $12,000 at the occupancy <br />of Phase I or $16,000 due in 1983. <br />Councilman Fahey stated that St. Jude's should pay the $16,000 for a <br />park charge if that is what the park Commission feels they should pay. <br />Page -15- <br />
