MINUTES <br />City Council <br />January 1~, 1981 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by P4r. Fahey. <br />~yes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Scalze, Forsberg, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Pages 16 and 17. <br />Minnesota Mr. Bruce Flubbard, representing Minnesota Mini Storage, appeared before <br />Mini the Council to inform the Council of their plans to construct a mini <br />Storage storage facility on County Road Q and Jackson Street. Mr. Flubbard <br /> informed the Council that at this point they are working on the drainage <br /> problems of the area. f4r. Hubbard stated that he is wori<ing with the <br /> Flighway Department on the drainage and they are trying to provide enough <br /> drainage to handle a 100-year rain. <br /> Mrs. Scalze stated that from the plans it looks as though Mr. Hubbard <br /> is planning to flatten the area. Mr. Hubbard stated that they are <br /> planning to level the hill behind the property and use the dirt to <br /> fi11 the front portion of the property. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that a fire hydrant will be needed in the area <br /> and this shou7d be considered along with looping the water line. <br /> The Engineer stated that it looks as though Hubbard is intending to raise <br /> Jackson Street and if this is done the manholes will have to be raised. <br /> Mr. Flubbard stated that his purpose for appearing at tonight's meeting <br /> is to let the Council know what Minnesota Mini Storage is inten~ing to do. <br /> Mrs. Scalze stated that the Park Commission is thinking of a$6,000 park <br /> charge for this area and Mr. Hubbard should be aware that this would be <br /> included in any PUD agreement. <br /> Mayor Hanson stated that the Council cannot take any action at this point <br /> until it has more detailed plans. Hanson thanked Mr. Hubbard for his <br /> presentation. <br /> ( Minnesota P4ini Stora~e-Site Plan. Clerk's attachment -t- ) <br />Fire Side Mr. Vince Douglas representing Fire Side Nomes appeared before the Council <br />Homes to inform them of the twin home project he is proposing for some property <br /> located on the south side of County Road D. Fire Side hlomes is proposing <br /> five units per acre. Mr. Douglas stated that this project would unlock <br /> the property loca~ed to the east. Mr. Doublas is proposing 1/2 of the <br /> road on Fire Side Flomes' property and the other 1/2 on the Peterson <br /> property. <br />Mrs. Scalze informed Mr. Douglas that the Comprehensive Plan is proposing <br />that whole area be R-1. Mrs. Scalze also informed Mr. Douglas that the <br />City has not gone to zero lot lines. <br />Councilman Fahey stated that under the present zoning this could be <br />accomplished. <br />Page -5- <br />
