MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 11, 1981 <br />Mrs. Scalze reported that nearly all the wildlife is now gone in <br />some areas of the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze felt it was time for the City to enact a Tr•apping Ordinance. <br />The City of Maplewood has a leg-hold ban on trapping, and the City of <br />Vadnais Heights for6ids trapping. <br />Mrs. Scalze submitted to the Council sample trapping ordinances. <br />The Flttorney asked Scalze if she contacted the State Game Department <br />regarding this. Scalze replied that she di~ and they are against <br />trapping ordinances. <br />The Flttorney stated that he thought the State Game Department wanted <br />provisions in any trapping ordinances for the state agencies to be <br />able to trap under certain circumstances. <br />Mrs. Scalze felt that any exclusions to an ordinance the City might <br />enact should come before the City Council. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-2.-80 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY FlTTORNEY TO <br />DRAfT AN ORDINANCE COMBINING THF. VADNFlIS HEIGHTS AND WOODBURY <br />ORDINANCES PROHIBITING BY ANY MEA~lS THE TAKING OF NIILDLIFE OR <br />BIRDS, AND STATING THAT ANIMALS ~ETERMINED BY THE CI7Y COIINCIL <br />TO BE A HAZARD TO SFlFETY OR Fl NUISANCE COULD BE TRFlPPED QY ~ <br />LIVE-TRAP METHOD I~ITN TRAPS TO BE CHFCKED EVERY EIGHT HOURS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />qyes (5) Scalze, Forsberg, Hanson, Nardini, Fahey. <br />Playes (0 ) . <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No, 7, Page ~8. <br />Revenue Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Sharing <br />Hearing RESOLUTIO~I M0. 81-2-81 - CALLIt~G FOR !1 HFFlRING ON Ml~RCH <br />11, 1~81 TO DETERMINE THE USE OF 1981 REVFNUE SEIARIPIG FUNDS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs, Nardini. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Dlardini, Flanson, Scalze, forsherg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 48. <br />Transfer Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adopt?on: <br />Of Revenue <br />Sharing RESOLUTION N0. 81-2-82 - TRANSFERRING $14,167 FROM THE <br />Allotment TRUST AND FlGENCY FUND TO THE GE~lERFlL FUMD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Scalze, forsberg, Nardini, Flanson. <br />~layes (0).
