MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 11, 1981 <br />OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY THE DENSITY OF THE FlREA, IMPFlCT OF <br />fURTHER APARTMENT DEVELQPMEPIT IN ThiE CITY FlND OTHER <br />FACTORS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TNE FlREA AS REGP,RDS MULTIPLE <br />fAMILY HOUSING, THE h10RATQRIUM TO 6E DECLARED UNTIL SUCH <br />TIME AS THE COUNCIL D1AK[S FIMAL DISPOSITION OM THE REZONING <br />OR LACK THEREOF OF THE PROPERTY IPI QUESTION WHICH COULD BE <br />AS EARLY AS MARCH 4, 7987 BUT NOT LONGER TNAN A PERIOD OF <br />90 DAYS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Pyes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Forsberg, Plardini, Nanson. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This reso1ution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 39, <br />Mr. Fahey stated that on March 4 the Council will hold hearings on <br />the Planner's suggested areas 11, 9, and 7, and on April 15 hearings <br />will be on areas 4, 5, and 8. <br />Demont Lot Mayor Hanson suggested to Mr. Demont that the Council not act on his <br />Variance lot variance request until Mr, Demont's and Mr. Waite's negotiations <br />are completed. Mr. Demont stated that he was agreea6le to this, however, <br />should he and Mr. Waite not be able to reach an agreement, Mr, Demont <br />requested that this matter be put on the agenda at the next Counci7 <br />meeting, <br />Drainage Mr, Fahey stated that he would like to be sure that the drainage of <br />Of Ruth the Ruth Street area and the Lake Street area are studied 6efore the <br />Street March 4 meeting so that the C,ouncil has this information before them <br />Area when making a decision, Fahey also suggested that the drdinage of <br />the Schrier property and the property on Viking Drive be studied as <br />wetl, <br />Mrs. Nardini asked about the fill that was dumped on the City's <br />property on Ruth Street, The Engineer stated that it has been City <br />property to allow contractors to dump fill on City property during <br />a project, <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that the City should not be filling any areas where <br />there are cattails. <br />Cabie TV Mr, Don Tarnou~ski appeared before the Council to give them an update on <br />lJpdate the cable TV situation, Mr. Tarnowski reminded the Council that in July <br />or August of 1980 the City entered into a joint powers agreement with 9 <br />other communities on the subject of cable TV, <br />Mr. Tarnowski reported that the communities have hired a consultant and <br />are accumulating attorney`s fees.
