MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 25, 1Q81 <br />Mr. Fahey stated that the City is not totally closing off the use of the <br />property. Conditional uses can be requested under a business warehousing <br />zone. Fahey felt Mr. Langsley could accomplish what he wanted under the <br />BW zoning. Fahey stated that Langsley has not shown the type of contractors <br />he wou1d be renting to. <br />Mr. Fahey also reviewed some past minutes of Council meetings regarding the <br />Langsley proposal. The 9/12/79 minutes show Mr. Langsley requesting approval <br />for pole or metal building. The 9/4/79 Planner's Report refers to two metal <br />bui1dings, and refers to a local cement and general contractor and an <br />excavating company as occupying the bui7dings. The 10/4/79 Council minutes <br />refer to metal storage bui7dings, <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOCUTIO~! ~10. 81-2.-91 - APPROVING THE REZONTNG OF THE SEVEP! <br />RCE S IN Q ES I N L~CATED ON COUPlTY ROFlD B FROM LTGHT TNDUSTRIFlL <br />TO BUSINESS WAREHOUSING AS RECOMMENDED BY TFIE CITY PLANNER <br />AS THIS ZONING IS MORE IN TUNF WITH TNE DEVELOPMENT Of TFIE FlREA <br />AND WIThI THE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TO TFIE SOUTIi OF COUN7Y ROFlD B <br />AND THE OTHER SIX P~OPERTY OWPIERS INVOLVED ARE PIOT OBJECTING TO <br />THE REZONING AND THE REZONIMG IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE <br />CITY IN THE LONG RUN AS REGARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA <br />The foregoing reso1ution was duly seconded by P4rs. Nardini. <br />Pyes (4) Fahey, Nardini, Forsberg, Scalze. <br />Nayes (1) Nanson. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resotution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Pages 54 and 55. <br />By Resolution No. 81-2-91 the Council approved the rezoning of the following <br />parcels of property from light industrial to business warehousing: <br />J. f.
