MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 15, 1981 <br />Mayor Hanson asked Mr. Husnick what the situation was regarding mandatory <br />tie-downs in a mobile home park. Mr. Husnick replied that the State <br />does not want to get involved in this. Mr. Husnick stated that he <br />really cloes not see any purpose in tie-downs. <br />The City Clerk asked what the mobile home park does in the event of <br />a tornado. Mr. Nusnick stated that the safest place would be to lie <br />down in a narrow hallway or narrow area in the mobile home. <br />Mrs. Zoch stated that residents of a mobile home park could go to the <br />nearest school in their area for shelter. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the Fire Department has opened the Fire FIa71 <br />basement in the event of a tornado. Mr. Fahey stated that the City <br />should send out a notice to this effect every spring. <br />Mr. Villeaux informed the Counci7 that he is opposed to the B-3 <br />property in his trailer park being rezoned. Mr. Villeaux stated that <br />the surrounding property in the area is zoned ¢-3. Villeaux a7so <br />informed the Council that there have been problems with the liquor <br />establishments near his park, and Villeaux wants the B-3 zoning to <br />remain should it not be possible to operate a trailer park in the <br />area of these establishments. Vil1eaux also stated that he had <br />no objection to the rezoning of the R-3 property to R-4. Mr. Villeaux <br />stated that he just does not want to have to make changes on the trai1er <br />park to conform with the new zoning district. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its acioption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. $1-4-191 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC FIFARING ON <br />THE POSSIBLE REZO~IING OF THE TERRACE HEIGHTS MOBILE NOME <br />PARK FROM 6-3 AND R-3 ZONING TO R-4 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book Dlo. 7, Page 125. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-4-192 - APPROVING THE REZONI~lG OF THE <br />R-3 ZONE.D PORTION OF THE TERRACE FIEIGHTS MOBILE FIOME PARK <br />TO R-4 ZONING AND DECLARING THAT THE B-3 ZONED PORTIOM <br />OF THE TRAILER PARK tdILL REMAIN B-3. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, Forsberg, Fahey. <br />~layes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Pages 125 and 726. <br />Page -9- <br />
