French <br />Mr. fahey voted for: Mr. French Mr. Davison <br />Mr. French is hereby elected to fill the 7 month term on the P`9anning <br />Commission. As there was a tie between Mr. LaMay and Mr. Davison for <br />the 19 month term on the Planning Commission, Council took a revote <br />for that position. <br />Council voted as follows to fi11 the 19 month term on the Planning Commission: <br />Mrs. Scalze voted for: P4r. Davison <br />Mrs. Nardini voted for: Mr. LaMay <br />Mr. Forsberg voted for: Mr. LaMay <br />Mr. Hanson voted for: Mr. LaMay <br />Mr. Forsberg voted for: Mr. Davison <br />Mr. LaM~y is hereby elected to fill the 19 month term on the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Schrier Mayor Hanson informed the audience that on March 4 the City Counci1 held <br />Property a public hearing on the proposed downzoning of the Schrier property from <br />R-3 to R-2. At that time action on the proposal was tabled until the <br />Council had the opportunity to conduct a workshop session with Mr. Schrier <br />to discuss the possibilities for development of his property. <br />Mayor Hanson state~ that discussion tonight would be limited to Counci1 <br />discussion unless anyone from the audience had anything new to add to <br />the discussion. The City At~orney agreed with the Mayor that this wou1d <br />be the correct procedure. <br />P4r. Schrier informed the Council that if the drawinys he submitted to <br />the Counci7 at the workshop d9scussion met Council approval, he would <br />have a final design drawn up that would conform to the City's existing <br />ordinances. Mr. Schrier stated that he did not want to spend any more <br />engineering dollars until the question o~ the proposed rezoning is <br />resolved. With reference to the agreement discussed at the workshop <br />session, Mr. Schrier stated that he had a problem with his attorney <br />spending his money to restrict the use of his property. <br />Mr. Schrier a1so informed the Counci1 that the present deadline for <br />submitting applications for funding for senior citizen housing is May <br />15, 1981. Mr. Schrier stated that the application procedure is a <br />leng~hy one and that he would not be able to make this dea~line. <br />The City P7anner stated that the Schrier proposa1 did not provide for <br />an east-west road connection. The 755 units proposed by Mr. Schrier <br />would meet present City Code requirements. 7he P1anner also stated <br />that there is no special setback from the lake. The normal 30 foot <br />setback requirement wou7d apply, unless the DNR became involved. <br />Page -17- <br />
