MINUTES City Council May 13, 1981 Flwarding P~rs. Scalze reported that the Park Commission has received the following Quotation quotations for post barriers in Spooner Park: For Post Barriers Alternative A A1terna~5ve B 8 X 8 Posts) (6 X 6 Posts) Ryan Gra~ing & Landscaping $4,989.40 $2,565.Q0 Advent Custom Homes $3,747.00 $2>696.00 West7und Construction $5,700.00 ~2,835.00 Socon Construction $5,232.00 $3,748.00 Monette Construction $5,970.00 $4,340.00 The Park Commission is recommending that the City go with the 8 X II posts as this w911 be sturdier and that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, Advent Custom Flomes. Mrs. Scalze intro~uced the fol7owing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 81-5-238 - AWFlRDING THE QUOTATION OF ADVENT CUST M HO ES R THE C~SNSTRUCTIOM Of POST B~RRIERS IN SPOONER PARK IN TFIE FlMOUNT OF $3,747 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. Flyes (5) Scalze, Hanson, Forsberg, Fahey, Nartlini. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Pages 178 and 179. Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the Schoal Board has requested that an add~itional 20 feet of barrier be added to the original size of the barrier. Therefore, it is necessary to approve a change-order for this 20 additional feet. Mrs. Scalze introduced the fo1lowing reso1ution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIOM N0. H1-5-239 - FlPPROVIMG THE CHFlNGF ORDER FOR ThIE CONSTRUC7ION OF POST BARRIERS IN SPpONER PFlRK IN TNE AMOUNT OF $147.00 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. Awarding The Pari< Commission is requesting that the quotation from Phalen Park Plantings Landscaping for tree p7antings in Spooner Park be awarded. The quotation Quotation was in the amount of $470.00 Page -24-
