MINUTES <br />C9ty Council <br />June 24, 1981 <br />Mrs. Nardini suggested that this might be a good time to approach the <br />Schoo1 Board about purchasing Spooner Park. <br />Mayor Hanson suggested that the City Attorney review the 1ease agreement <br />before the Councit meets with the School Board. Fahey stated that the <br />lease agreement must provide for the reasonable use of the land. <br />Fahey suggested that tne City Council should send a letter to the <br />School Board informing them that there appears to be a deteriorating <br />situation in relations between the City and School District. <br />Mrs. Scalze corranented that she believes the City's lease on Spooner <br />Park could be broken at any time. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-6-316 - REQUESTIMG Fl MEETING WITH TNE <br />SCHOOL BO RD ND TFIE CITY COUNCIL, A REPRFSEN7ATIVE OF <br />THE CITY'S PFlRK COMMISSION, AND THE CITY'S RECREFlTION <br />DIRECT~R, OR TO BE PLACE~ ON THE REGULAR AGENDFl OF TFIE <br />SCHOOL BOARD TO QSSCUSS CURRENT RELATIOPlS BETWEEN THE <br />SCHOOL BOARD AND THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AS PERTAINS <br />TO THE USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF SPOONER PARK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Hanson, Forsberg, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 236, <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the fol1owing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-6-317 - TABLING TNE REQUES7 FOR A <br />GATE ON THE LOWER PARKING LOT IP1 SPOONER PARK PENDING <br />ThIE CITY COUNCIL'S MEETING WITH THE SCNOOL BOARD <br />The foregoing resolution was du7y seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />qyes (5) Nardini, Hanson, Forsberg, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Reso1ution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 236. <br />Water System The City's Fire Chief, Qick Boss, requested that Roger Glanzer of the <br />North Star Utility Department make a survey of the water system in the North <br />Mob91e Flome Star Mobile Home Park so that the City will know the situation in the <br />Park Park. <br />The City Engineer stated that he believes the City could require the <br />fire hydrants in the park to be up to City standards. <br />Page -15- <br />
