MINU7ES <br />City Council <br />June 24, 1981 <br />The Engineer stated that there has been talk of Metro Sewer coming <br />through this area with an interceptor, but they have no plans of doing <br />so this year an~ possibly not next year. If they do come through with <br />an interceptor, the 1ift station could be eliminated. The cost to <br />overhau1 the station would be approximately $5,000, <br />The Engineer stated that whether the homes from Maplewood are allowed <br />to hook up or not, the lift station would still have to be overhauled. <br />Mrs. Nardini questioned why the City of Maplewood was putting in such <br />short pieces of sewer in the Carsgrove Meadows proposal. The Engineer <br />replied that the area may just be so low. <br />The Engineer stated that he sees no problem with allowing Maplewood <br />homes to hook up to the sewer, but he would like to look at the B-2 <br />station before Council takes action on this. The Engineer also <br />recommended that the City bill the Maplewood homes for sanitary sewer <br />service. <br />Owasso The Engineer is recommending that <br />Blvd. upgraded to a 9 ton road: <br />~ountry Drive from ~vasso to <br />ountry Drive from Spruce to <br />South Owasso from the Waterun <br />the following portions of street be <br />Estimated Cost <br />the Railroad 85,OQ0 <br />Rice Street $212,000 <br />~rks to Rice $107,000. <br />The Engineer reported that the City has $68,518 in State Aid Funds <br />that could be applied to this project. The remaining cost of the <br />project would be paid for through a bond, subject to the City receiving <br />bonding approval. <br />The Engineer reported that the above work would complete the City's <br />industrial area. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its acloption: <br />RESOLUTIOM M0. 81-6-319 - INSTRUCTING ThiE CITY ENGINEER <br />TO DR P THE SPECI ICATIONS FOR THE TOTAL PROJECT AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENCINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Flanson. <br />!{yes (4) Forsberg, Hanson, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0), <br />Mr. Fahey was not present. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Reso7ution Book No. 7, Pages 237 and 238. <br />Report On The Engineer reported that he does not have an estimated cost for the <br />Water watermain improvements that will be considered at the July 22 Council <br />Tmprovements meeting. He will be talking to the City Flttorney on the cost of the <br />easements before he figures the cost of the projects. The Engineer <br />reported that the proposed improvements will be publicized on July <br />9 and 16 in the White Bear Press. <br />Page -17- <br />
