MINUTES <br />City Council <br />June 24, 1981 <br />The improvements that will be considered on July 22. are for watermain <br />in the following areas: <br />Rice Street from Minnesota to Little Canada Road (except for the <br />portion running along Park Street rather than Rice Street}; <br />Park Street from Demont to County Road B-2; <br />Demont from Rice Street to Jackson; <br />County Road B-2 from St. Jude's Medical to Soo Line Rai1road; <br />Jackson from County Road B-2 south 350 feet; <br />County Road B-2 from Edgerton to Keller Parkway; <br />Greenbrier Circle from County Road B-2 to the cul-de-sac. <br />The City Clerk reported that the City has received an adequate petition <br />for watermain on County Road B-2. <br />The Engineer stated that an estimated figure for the above improvements <br />would be $700,000, but he still had to receive easement information from <br />the City Attorney. <br />Pat The Engineer reported that he has studied the Pat Frattalone request <br />Frattalone for sanitary sewer. The Engineer recommended that the sewer not be <br />Request For installed as requested by Mr. Frattalone as there is another sewer 7ine <br />Sanitary that will be put in one day that will service the Frattalone property. <br />Sewer The Engineer also stated that the elevation of the property would present <br /> a problem. <br />Woodlyn The Engineer reported that he has checked the location of Woodlyn Flvenue <br />Avenue and the location of the blacktop is off by about five feet in one area. <br /> Mr. Forsberg stated that he felt the 25 foot variance requested by Kath <br /> Bros. was too large. Mr. Fahey stated that it did not matter whether <br /> the variance was for 2 feet or 2.5 feet, if there was no hardship proved <br /> to warrant the variance. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she believes Cynthia Kath understood at the last <br />Council meeting that she shauld go back and try to draw up new plans for <br />the proposed building. <br />Z91ge The Engineer reported that where the location of the Zi1ge road easement <br />Road will be there is a very high sloop to the property. The Engineer also <br />Easement stated that the NSP easements in the area are in the wrong location. <br />~anadian Mayor Hanson stated that he met with the Sheriff's Department regarding <br />Days their supplying police at the Canadian Days celebration. They will try to <br />Police Provide 10 reserve officers between the hours of 7:00 P.M. to 12:00 P4idnight <br />on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. They~do not have a.n estimate~ <br />cost for this service. ,~' <br />~ <br />Councilman Fahey pointed out that the City~agreed to provide ~500 to <br />he7p pay for this police protection. <br />Page -78- <br />
