MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />June 26, 1981 <br />institution to be provided free connections for cable TV service. <br />Mrs. Plardini also asked Mr. Tarnowski iP the City of Little C,anada <br />should be following in the path of the Cities of St, Paul and Minneapolis <br />with regard to cable TV. <br />Mr. Tarnowski recommended that the City did not follow St. Pau7 or <br />Minneapolis. Their actions wi11 place them about two years behind <br />Little Canada. Also the City would be placed in a position of having <br />to negotiate with either St. Paul or Minneapolis on cable TV, and those <br />cities would dictate to Little Canada on this subject. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RES~LUTIOP! N0. 81-6-305 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON A <br />PROPOSED REQUEST FOR ROPOSALS FOR A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS <br />FRANCHISE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Forsberg, Flanson, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 227. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-6-306 - ADOPTING A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR C aLE CO UNIC TIONS SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CFlNADFl <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7> Pages 227 and 228. <br />Public Mayor Hanson opened the public hearing on the Edward Krueger request for <br />Hearing a side yard setback variance of two feet so that Mr. Krueger can construct <br />Edward a garage on his premises. Mayor Hanson stated that the Building Inspector <br />Krueger has recommended that the variance request be approved. <br />Side Yard <br />Setback Mr. Lachenmayer, a neighbor of Mr. Krueger's, appeared before the Council <br />Variance and stated that he was not opposed to the variance being granted provided <br /> that Mr. Krueger clean up his property, Mr. Lachenmayer was also concerned <br /> that Mr. Krueger plans to construct the garage from old lumber, and hoped <br /> that the garage would have a good appearance. <br /> Mr. Fahey stated that he would like to see as a condition of the variance <br /> that the Krueger property be cleaned up and the garage made presentable, <br /> Fahey stated that he would be in favor of the variance provided that Mr, <br /> Krueger agree to these conditions. <br />Page -2- <br />
