MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />June 24, 1981 <br />Mr. Krueger stated that he has some steel beams on his property that he <br />would store in the new garage. The lumber he intends to use is old <br />lumber, but in good condition. Krueger also stated that everything on <br />the property that is rubbish will be disposed of. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked Mr. Krueger if he were willing to put up a bond to <br />ensure that the property will be cleaned up. Mr. Krueger stated that <br />he did not have the money to purchase a bond. <br />Mr. Fahey commented that if the garage was not presentable and painted <br />and the yard not cleaned up, the City could have this done and assess <br />the costs against the Krueger property. Mr. Fahey asked Mr. Krueger <br />what he felt was a reasonable time limit to get these things done. <br />Council discussed the time frame and decided that six months would give <br />Mr. Krueger enough opportunity to construct the garage and clean up the <br />yard. <br />Mr. Hittner, another neighbor of Mr. Krueger's, stated that he, too,was <br />in favor of the variance being granted provided that the Krueger property <br />was cleaned up. <br />Mayor Nanson suggested that the neighbors of Mr. Krueger could give him <br />a hand in cleaning up the property. hianson, himself, volunteered to <br />help out. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that he felt the City should take Mr, Krueger's word <br />that he will c1ean up the property. <br />fahey state~ that he woutd be opposed to a variance that does not provide <br />for the Krueger property to be cleaned up. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOM N0. £31-6-307 - CLOSING TFIE PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />THE EDW RD KRUEGER REQUEST FOR A SIDE YFlRD SETBACK VARIANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />qyes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson> Fahey, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (O). <br />Reso1ution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 229. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIObI N0. 81-6-308 - GRANTING A T~10 FOOT SIDE YFlRD <br />SETBFlCK VARIANC,E TO EDWARD KRUEGER WITH TNE STIPULATION <br />THAT MR.
