MzNUi~Es <br />City Council <br />October 7, 1981 <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-562 - LEVYING THE ACCRUED INTEREST <br />ON THE GREGORY SCNLOER DEFERRED ASSESSMENT IN TFIE FlMOUNT <br />OF 6% BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 16, 1981 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />qyes (5) Nardini, Fahey, Scalze, Hanson, forsberg. <br />Nayes (0), <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 369. <br />Edward Mr. Nadeau indicated to the Council to levy the deferred assessment <br />Nadeau against his property and he will pay the assessment. <br />Flssessment <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU7ION N0. 81-10-563 - LEVYING THE DEFERRED ASSESSMENT <br />ON THE EDWARD NADEAU PROPERTY IN THE AMOUNT OF $650.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (5) Nardini, Scalze, tianson, forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 369. <br />Anthony The City Clerk reported that there is a deferred assessment on the <br />fasciana Anthony Fasciana property for one water stub. The assessment amounts <br />Flssessment to $200.00. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked why the City deferred one water stub. The Clerk <br />reported that at that time stubs were assessed separately from the <br />watermain. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that Mr. Fasciana was informed by the City that <br />the assessment on the water st~ib woutd be deferred unless he hooked <br />up to City water. <br />P1r. Zoch informed the Council that when water went in he did not want <br />it. Mr. Zoch informed the Gouncil that four water stubs were installed <br />on his property. Mr. Zoch did not feel he should have to pay interest <br />on the assessments for these stubs. Mrs. Zoch commented that the Council <br />informed them that there would be no charge on these assessments until <br />the time the property was sold, and now the Council is levying interest <br />on these assessments. <br />The City Clerk informed the Council that from 1973 to 1981 the City has <br />paid over $1,000 on just the deferred assessments on water stubs. The <br />City Clerk also informed the Council that in 1987 the interest will be <br />paid off on the assessments for this improvement. <br />Mr. Zoch also commented that the property across the street from him is <br />commercial and his property is zoned residential. <br />Page -11- <br />
