NIINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 14, 1981 <br />Mr. Valento stated that it is easy to put the improvements in when there <br />is one owner involved. Mrs. Scalze commented that she was talking about <br />Mr. flynn, the other property is different. <br />Mr. Forsberg commented that it was his opinion that all the property <br />owners were going to get toyether and give the Council a plan so the <br />Council vdould not have to spend time on it. The Planner commented <br />that they did this, the property owners plan is the one without Allen <br />Avenue through to P~yne and no cul de sac at the top of the Germain <br />property. <br />Mrs. Nardini suggested that the matter be referred to the Park Commission. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if a plan could be approved subject to the Park Commission's <br />recommendations. 7he Planner stated that the Counc~il would be no further <br />ahead by adopting a plan that is subject to change. The Planner also <br />informed the Council that Mr. Flynn wanted to plat his land later this <br />month. If he plats his land, the Planner was concerned that the Council <br />could not go back and get the roads it may want. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that he liked the property owners' plan with the <br />long straight streets. Mrs. Nardini commented that all these streets <br />violate City code. <br />The Planner stated that very ~Few communities have streets longer than <br />a quarter mile. Mayoe Hanson stated that there are many un~que situations <br />in the City. <br />Mr. Hanson introduceci the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-609 - APPROVING TNE PLAN FOR TNE <br />PFlYNE AVENUE FlREA AS SUBMITTED BY TNE PROPERTY OWNERS <br />IN TFIE AREA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />qyes (2) Hanson, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (2) Scalze, Nardini. <br />Resolution denied. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7> Page 395. <br />Mrs. Sca1ze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOM N0. 81-10-610 - ADOPTING THE PLAN FOR THE <br />DE ELOPMENT OF THE PAYNE AVENUE-ALLEN AVENUE AREFl AS <br />SUBMITTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION WITH THE ADDITION OF <br />THE SFiORT SECTION OF ALLEN l~VENUE THROUGH TO GREENBRIER <br />AND SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATTONS Of TNE PARK COMP4ISSION <br />The foreyoing resolution was duly secondeci by Mrs. Nardini. <br />!{yes (2) Scalze, Nardini. <br />Nayes (2) Hanson, Forsberg. <br />Resolution denied. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 396. <br />Page -15- <br />
