MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 14, 1981 <br />Mayor Hanson commented that the ratio of 1 in 10 applied to blocks. <br />Hanson stated that the City has some short blocks and some long blocks. <br />The Planner replied that the definition of blocks appears in the City's <br />ordinance and the ratio of 1 in 10 is applied to a b1ock as defined <br />in the ordinance. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she felt if the City allowed one in ten they <br />should allow ten in ten. <br />Mrs. Nardini asked about the conversion of larger homes into duplexes. <br />The Planner replied that they must meet the requirements. The Planner <br />commented that the intent of the provis9on in the ordinance was to <br />provide for the conversion of large homes into duplexes. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that the City presently has duplexes in R-1 areas <br />and that they are quite nice homes. <br />Letter To The Planner informed the Council that he would be sending out the letter <br />ConnCo to ConnCo Shoes on their sign in the morning. <br />Shoes <br />North Star The P1anner informed the Council that he would be sending out the 1etter <br />Estates to the North Star Mobile Home Park regarding their sign on Monday. <br />McDonald's The Planner stated that he would stop in and see the manager at McDonald's <br />Matter on Monday. <br />Planning The Planner informed the Council that there are planning grant monies <br />Grants ava~lab1e to the City in the amount of $5,973. The Planner stated that <br />the Council must authorize the City Clerk to apply for this money. <br />N1r. Nie7son is suggesting that the money could be used for planning <br />studies of Allen Avenue, Senior Citizen housing, shore land management, <br />or flood plain ordinance. <br />Mrs. Nardini commented that she received a ca71 firom Johanna Gallagher <br />and the senior citizens may be coming in with something on senior citizen <br />housing. <br />The Planner also commented that the subdivision ordinance needs some amending <br />reducing street right-of-way. This will require that the ordinance be <br />brought up to State statutes. 7he Planner commented that he will let the <br />Council know what is required. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-611 - INS7RUCTING THE CITY CLERK, <br />WITH THE AID OF TEIE PLFlNNER, TO FlPPLY FOR PLANNING GRFlN7S <br />FOR THE CITY OF LITTLF.
