MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 14, 1981 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (4) Nardini, Scalze, Hanson, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book ~o. 7, Page 402. <br />Schletty The City Clerk reported that he has informed Mr. Schletty that he needs <br />Property a permit to frll the property on Schletty Drive. <br />Mrs. Scalze expressed concern that she was informed there is 16 feet of <br />peat on one of the lots and a running s~ring. Mrs. Scalze was concerned <br />that perhaps the City had no business issuing a fill permit when it <br />knows the soil under the filt will be unstable. <br />7he Engineer replied that he did not feel the City has any liability. <br />The Engineer stated that he would look at this from a drainage <br />standpoint. <br />The Attorney stated that anyone who buys a lot should determine what they <br />are buying. Just because the City issued a building permit does not mean <br />the City is liable. <br />fill Mrs. Scalze informed the Engineer that she would like to see the requests <br />Permits he receives for fill permits. <br />Schafer Mrs. Nardini asked the status of the letter to Mr. Schafer regarding the <br />Fi11 filling on his property without a permit. The City Clerk stated that he <br />Permit will take care of this shortly. <br />Letters The Mayor pointed out for Council information the letters the City received <br />From from Representative Valento and Mr. Thomas Newcome. <br />Valento <br />& <br />~lewcome <br />Dumpster Mr. Forsberg reported that last Saturday someone filled the dumpster half <br /> full of brush. Mr. Spooner arrived at the dumpster as the person was <br /> finishing filling it. <br /> The City usually tries to collect $100 for a dumpster and the City must <br /> pay $135 per dumpster. Mr. Forsberg suggested that the person be charged <br /> $50.00. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-619 - DECLARING THAT A BILL SHOULD QE <br /> SENT TO TI-IE PARTY WFIO UTILIZED THE CITY DUMPSTER IN THE <br /> FlMOUNT OF $50.00 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by P4rs.
