MINU7ES <br />City Council <br />October 28, 1981 <br />Signs The Attorney informed the Council that he will get a copy of the recent <br />Supreme Court decision on signs. This will take about 90 days. <br />Lakeshore The Planner informed the Council that there are two areas in which the <br />Shopping shopping center at Little Canada Road and Lakeshore Flvenue does not <br />Center comply with its plans. The first is that signs are not posted and <br />the second is that the corner is not fenced. The Planner also reported <br />that there was a sem~ parked on the premises, but it is operational and <br />comes and goes. The semi was not interfering with the traffic at the <br />shopping center. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked if there were supposed to be shrubs in the front of <br />the shopping center. Mr. Fahey commented that the Council accepted that <br />this would not work. The Planrier stated that he would check into it. <br />Uniforms Mr. Forsberg reported that the Utility Department obtained four bids for <br />uniforms: <br />Leaf Bros., Inc. $688.80 per year <br />Gross Ind. $733.50 per year <br />Unitog $772.65 per year <br />Means $1,638.00 per year <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-646 - AWARDING TFfE BID OF LFFlf 6ROS., <br />INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF 688.80 PER YEAR FOR UTILITY <br />DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, Forsberg> Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 420. <br />Keller There has been a request for a guard rail at Keller Parl<way and Little <br />Parkway & Canada Road. Mr. Forsberg informed the Council that the thing to do <br />Little was have the County investigate the safety situation in this area and <br />Canada make a recommendatiori. <br />Road <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the folloaiing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-647 - INSTRUCTING A LETTER BE SENT <br />TO THE COUNTY REQUESTING TFIAT TI-IEY JNVESTIGATE THE SAFETY <br />SITUAI'ION AT KELLER PFlRKWAY AND LITTLE CANDA ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />F~yes (5) forsberg, Scalze, Hanson, Fahey, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolu~tion apnears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 420. <br />Page -23- <br />
