MINUTES <br />City Counc~il <br />October 2II, 19II1 <br />Little Canada Road <br />Flnd <br />Centerville Mrs. Nardini reported that a vehicle ran into a house located near <br />Road the intersection of Little Canada Road and Centerville Road. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its acloption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-10-648 - INSTRUCTING THAT A LETTER BE <br />SENT TO TNE COUNTY REQUESTING 7HAT THEY INVESTIGATE THE <br />SAFE1'Y SITUATION AT LITTLE CANADA RO~D FlND CENTERVILLE <br />ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />qyes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Hanson, forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution 6ook No. 7, Page 421. <br />Signals Mr. Forsberg requested that the copy of the letter that the City received <br />At Rice from the Minnesota Department of Transportation stating that traffic <br />Street signals were not warranted at Rice Street and Demont be sent to Mr. <br />And Demont Vitleaux. <br />Drainage Mr. Hanson fe1t that the drainage problem at 715 and 735 Keller Parkway <br />Problem was a civil matter. The Attorney agreed, stating that the problem was <br />Keller on private property. <br />Parkway <br />Mayor Flanson suggested that Roger Glanzer take a look at this problem. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that it is a County road and a private matter in as <br />much as it effects the property owner's evergreens. <br />Mr. Hanson stated that the City Clerk should send a 1etter to the <br />property owner stating these facts. <br />Electrical Mrs. Scalze reported that the Recreation Department obtained three bids <br />Bids for moving the electrical box at the skating rink. They are: <br />Skating <br />Rink Arcade Electric $~76 <br />Preferred Electric $900 <br />Duggan Electric $325 <br />Council discussed whether a timer should be included in this work. Mr. <br />Fahey stated that the timer was agreed to be installed by the City. <br />Mr. Forsberg commented that the City is avoiding the problem of anyone <br />turning on the lights by moving the e1ectrical box inside. <br />The Attorney commented that the reason the Mary Nouse ladies wanted the <br />timer so that they woul~ be assured at 10 o'clock that the lights would <br />go out. The Attorney stated that he would speak to Mr. Cody about the <br />necessity of a timer. <br />Page -24- <br />
