MINUTES <br />City Council <br />November 25, 1981 <br />Additional Mrs. Nardini suggested that the City install an additional phone line <br />Phone Lina in the office as it seems as the line is tied up most of the time. <br />Mr. Forsberg and Mr. Fahey stated that they have not had any trouble <br />getting through to the City Center on the phone. <br />It was suggested that perhaps a"call waiting" feature could be added to <br />the City's phone system. Mr. fahey 5nstructed the City Clerk to check <br />into this. <br />Hammond P~rs. Nardini asked if the letter was sent to the Watershed District <br />Property regarding the Hammond property. The Engineer replied that he has sent <br />this letter. <br />Recreation Mrs. Nardini commented that there was $800 of work done by recreation <br />that was not done 6y bid. Mrs. Scalze stated that she would check into <br />this. <br />Taking Mr. Forsberg reported that the Public Works Department would like to <br />Bids take bids on an air compressor. The cost of the compressor could be <br />For Air charged against the upcoming water projects. <br />Compressor <br />Mr. Forsberg stat.ed that the compressor would be gas powered. It would <br />be used in times of power outages on the City's lift stations. <br />Forsberg estimated the cnst of a new compressor at $7,000, but thought <br />that the City could poss5bly obtain a used one. <br />Mrs. Sca1ze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81-11-673 - AUTHORIZI~fG TNE TAKING OF <br />EIDS FOR AN AIR COMPRESSOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nanson. <br />Pyes (5) Scalze, Hanson, Forsberg, Fahey, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 438, <br />Water Line Mr. Forsberg suggested that the City obtain a bid from Ro-So Construction <br />Flt Skating for installing a water line at the skating rink. Mrs, Scalze reported <br />Rink that Jim Morelan decided that the water line is not necessary at this <br />time. <br />Use Of Mr. Hanson informed Mr. Forsberg that he received a complaint <br />City Equip- regarding a City employee using City equipment to plow his ~riveway. <br />ment Mr. Forsberg stated that he would check into this. <br />Page -7_0- <br />
