MINUTES <br />City Council <br />December 9, 1°81 <br />?he P7anner reported that P4aplewood raised the lake overf1ow problem. <br />The Mayor has also been invited to a meeting on this subject. <br />Anderson The P1anner reported that Map1ewood has approached the C~ty regarding <br />Development the Flnderson deve1opment. Mr. Erink received a notice of this development <br />and raised the question of how he could develop the back portion of his <br />property. <br />Maplewood has submitted this proposal to Little Canada for our review and <br />input. They want City feeling on this. <br />The Planner stated that he would like to sit down with the Engineer and <br />go through the different alternatives for the access to the back of this <br />property. <br />Mr. Hanson felt this shou1d come from the developer. <br />The Planner stated that if Mr. Anderson did what he wants, there would <br />be double-fronting lots as a result. The P1anner stated that the plan <br />may have to be adjusted if it precludes someone in Little Canada from <br />developing. <br />P4r. Fahey suggested that the P7anner could work on this during regu1ar <br />office hours. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that Mr. Brink should deal with N!r. Anclerson. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that the Planner should comment that this is a private <br />matter that should be worl<ed out between the two property owners as the <br />City would not put a road in for two developers. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that the City should send a letter to Maplewood, <br />but not get too extensively into this. <br />James The Planner received a letter from Mr. Meyers. Mr. Meyers stated that <br />Meyer he originally put up the traffic signs at his shopping center, but <br />claims they were vandalized and took them down. He will have new signs <br />made. Mr. Meyers a.lso informed the Planner that the fence company suggests <br />he wait until spring on the fencing matter. The Planner indicated that <br />this u~ould be acceptable unless the Council felt otherwise. <br />McDonalds Mrs. Nardini informed the Councit that the McDona1d's improvements are <br />down already. Mrs. Scalze agreed that they were down and stated that <br />she has seen severa1 cars exiting onto Rice Street. <br />The Planner stated that P4cDonald's has done the best it can in this <br />situatinn. <br />Hughes Mrs. Nardini indicated that in rev9ewing past minutes, she has found that <br />Construction Hughes Construction contactad the P1anner regarding changing their <br />landscaping. The Planner informed them that they would have to go before <br />Paae -18- <br />
