MIPIUTES <br />City Council <br />December 9, 1981 <br />The City Clerk submitted to the Council a report outlining the salaries <br />ofi other bui7ding officials in the metro area. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that she fe1t the City would get a better job if the <br />salary were based on a percentage. <br />Mr. Forsberg asl<ed how the City would compensate the building inspector <br />for coming in. The $400 per month is for coming in. <br />Fahey suggested $400 per month plus 50% of all fees, or even $200 per <br />month plus 50% of all fees. <br />Mrs. f~lardini stated that she feels S hours is not enough. Nardini felt <br />that three days in the office of which an hour and 1/2 a day would be <br />spent making inspections would be needed. <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that the applican~s be told the salary is negotiable, <br />but Forsberg said he felt firm1y about the $4•00 per month. <br />fahey stated that a little bit of both might be needed., a dollar amount <br />per month plus a percentage. <br />Nardini s~ated that there are nine applicants to be considered, this <br />inc1udes the Planner. Several Councilpersons stated that they were <br />not in favor of the Planner being considered for the position. <br />Approvc & Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and movecl its adoption: <br />Accept <br />Securities RESOLl1TI0N N0. 87-12-692 - FlPPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE <br />SECURITIF.S AS OUTLINED BY THE FIRST STATE BANK IP1 THE <br />FlMOUNT OF $2,865,000 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />qyes (5) Fahey, Hanson, Forsberg, Scalze, N~rdini. <br />Nayes (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resotution Book No. 7, Page 472. <br />Flpproving P4r.
