i~1INUTE5 <br />City Council <br />January 2'j, 1982 <br />Planning Mrs. Scalze commented that she feels the new Building Inspector <br />Contracts will do a super job for the City. Scalze a].so stated that the <br />(Cont.) (;ity has asked the Ylanner to do some things it shouldn~t have <br />and the Planner has only done things that the City has requested <br />o£ him, This was because the City was not getting the job it <br />should have from the past Building Inspector. <br />Nlrs. Nardini reported that the Building Inspector was going over <br />some past fees that were charged by the City and if the proper fee <br />schedule had been applied the City should ha~re collected $40~000 <br />rather than $1l~,000 that the City took in, <br />Forsberg suggeste¢1 that the Building Tnspector review all proposals <br />be£ore they go to the Planning Commi.ssion. Mr, Fahey suggested <br />that the Building inspector could put a short note on proposa].s <br />to the Ylasining Commission stating his thoughts on the proposal, <br />T'he City Clerk infoxmed the Council that on Monday he and the Attorney <br />and Building Inspector and Planner were having a meeting to discuss <br />procedures and who should be handling various items. The Clerx <br />suggested that the City continue until the second meeting in February <br />as it has been, and a report can be given the Council at that meeting, <br />Nlrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Rr:SULUTION N0. 82-1»1~5 - TABLING ACTIUN ON THE PROF'ESSIONAL <br />PLANNING SEHOICES CONTRACT AND THE ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br />ASSISTANCE CONTRACP UNTIL THE SECOND COUNCIL MEETING IN <br />FEBROAHY <br />The £oregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs, Scal2e, <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Hanson, F'ahey, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />`Phis resolution appears in Resolution Book No, 8, Yage 25, <br />Anderson I+Irs, Scalze reported that the Anderson deve],opment in Maplewood is <br />Aevelopment requesting water £rom the City of Little Canada. <br />In <br />i~iaplewood F'ahey stated that he is reluc'tant to grant water until the street <br />issue is resolved for the people in Little Canada, <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that she thought the City decided not to do <br />anything on this matter until Mr, Brink informed the Council of his <br />feelings. <br />Mrs. Scalze informed tne Council tnat, the City sent Mr, Briruc a letter <br />but he has not responded to it. Also Brink has not come to a satis£actory <br />solutlon with Mr, Anderson. <br />Mr. Hanson commented that perhaps Mr. Brink just as soon become <br />landlocked by the Anderson develop~ent. <br />P~e -7- <br />
