Hanson replied that he contacted the Sheri£f~s <br />Department and was informed that they did not feel this was a problem <br />in the City. <br />Nirs, Nardini commented that this is covered in the City~& ordinances <br />and the Sheriff~s llepartment shoul.d be tagging these cars. <br />ivir. Hansoxi stated that he would speak to the Sheriff~s Department <br />again about this matter. <br />Hiring An ~rs. 5calze inf'ormed the Council that the Park Commission is <br />Appraiser reconur,endirag cash to be collected for park charges in lieu of land. <br />For City Therefore~ it would seem that an appraiser should be appointed for <br />Use usz in determining park charges to be collected from commercial <br />developments. Mrs. Scalze reported thab Mr. Helland ls willing <br />to fill this position and is qualified. Yark charges £or a corrunercia7. <br />development are 10% of the fair marxet vsiue of the property. <br />~rs. Scalze commented that the City should appoint one person £or <br />this purpose and use that person all the time, <br />'Phe City Clerk reported that 1Jir, Helland would charge the City ~l~0 <br />per hour for his services. <br />Tennis Court Pfirs. Scalze commented that the Yark Commission is recommending that <br />At Ol.d Little the City pursue the same agreement with the Little Canada llay Care <br />Canada Center £or the use of the tennis court. Mrs, Scalze reported that <br />School they are not pursuing the rezoning of the property. <br />Mrs, 3calze informed the Council that the tennis court cost the City <br />about a total of ~250 in lawn maintenance costs. <br />Mrs, Scalze stated that she would like to meet with the property owner <br />on this subject. Other councilrnembers were agreeable to this. <br />NIr. Forsberg stated that he would like to see more use of the tennis <br />court. Mrs, Scalze suggested that iY the City obtains the use of <br />the court that this be advertised so that more people are aware that <br />it is available. <br />Mrs. Nardini asised if the chil.dren at the day care center presented a <br />problem to people who wanted to use the court. Nlrs. Scalze replied <br />that she was informed that the children would be kept of'f the court <br />when it was in use> <br />Appraiser ~, t~'~ey stated that after reviewing NIr. Helland~s qua:l.ifications <br />which are outlined in a letter submitted to the City~ he appeared to <br />be very we11 quali£ied for the position.
