Hanson have attended some <br />Nleetings recent School Board meetings regarding the closing of one of the <br />following four schools: Edgerton, Little Canada, Falcon Heights <br />or Will:iams, <br />i~lr. Hanson stated that he is scheduled oti the agenda of the meeting <br />tomorrow night to outline reasons why the Little Canada School <br />shou].d not be closed. Mr. Hanson also xeported that Nirs. Scalze <br />has done some work putting together a letter on this subject. <br />Nrs. Scalze stated that i;he closing o£ the Little Canada School <br />could effect the City~s recreation pro~ram as the school~s gy,m is <br />used. <br />Mrs. Nardini also raised the point that i£ the building were sold <br />the adjoining land would probably also be sold. <br />Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that she and the Mayor would keep <br />them informed. <br />City~s Nlil'1 j~~s. Scalze expressed concern apout the article in the St. Paul Dispatch <br />Rate regardLng the i;ity~s mill rate, Mrs. Scalze suggested that the City~s <br />auditors should be contacted £or some type o£ report on tlais subject <br />and how it ties into £iscal disparaties. Mrs. Scalze commented that <br />according to the article North Oaks has the lowest taxes and I,ittle <br />Canada the highest.
