NiINUTliS <br />City Council <br />February 10, 1982 <br />F'ire It was pointed out that the F3ui:Lding Inspection area is very slack <br />~~Iarshall this time o£ year and the Building Inspector would have time to <br />Position devote to his F'ire Marshall duties. <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr. F'ahey commented that he was not opposed to the appointment o£ <br />Mr. liocke as Fire Marshall~ but he was opposed to paying Nir. Locke <br />an additional ;y150 per month, <br />Nirs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE5ULU`PION NU. 82..2-66 - AYPOTNTING ED liOCKE AS THE <br />CITY~S FIRE MAHSHALL FOR A F'I;E OF ~150 PEH MONTH WITH <br />A HtiVIk.'W `CO B~ HtiLD SN JULY <br />The foxegoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (4) Nardini~ Hanson~ Scalze~ Forsberg. <br />Nayes (1) Fahey. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Lbok No. f3, Yage 41. <br />Citizens t~Ir. Ilanson repoxted that there are a couple of citizens groups <br />Uroups scheduled to meet in the City Center with the Sheri£f~s Uepartment <br />to discuss preventive measures that can be taken with regard to <br />burglaries and what to do or look for i£ something like this should <br />happen. <br />Shoreview The City Engineer requested that the Council pass a resolution regarding <br />Water its recent decision for charging the City of Shoreview for any water <br />Connection connections that might be made along Rice Street, The Council <br />decided at its February 3 workshop session that a$2,500 charge <br />per hook-up will be charged. In addition the Shoreview property <br />owner would have to purchase the City of Little Canada~s water meter, <br />and would be charged for water at the current rate charged Little <br />Canada residents, <br />The h~gineer stated that he will send a letter to Shoreview regarding <br />the Council~s decision. <br />The E;ngineer also informed the Council that should these connections <br />be made Shoreview would put the water lines in at their own cost. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the £ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. d2-2-67 - OFFERING WATliR CONNEC`1'IONS <br />TO THE CITY OF SHOREVIEW AT ~2,500 YER HOOK-UP WITH THE <br />CUNDITION THAT M~TERS BE OBTAINEA FROM THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA AND WATER BILLINGS SE DONE BY THE CI`CY OF' LITTLE <br />CANAAA AT THE CURIZENT RATE CHARGEll TO THE LI`t'TI,~ CANADA <br />R[sSIDENTS <br />Page -5- <br />
