MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 24, 1982 <br />Street Mr. Forsberg reported that the Utility Department has requeseed <br />Sweeping authorization to call for sCreet s~veeping bids. <br />Bids <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLU'1'ION N0. 82-2-107 - CALLING FOR STRSET SWEEPING <br />BIDS FOB 1982 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Forsberg, Scalze, Hanson, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. H, Page 68. <br />Air Mr. Forsberg reported that the City has received three bids on a <br />Compressor new aix compressor. There are from F[ayden Murphy in the amount o£ <br />$69741.00; Carlson Equipment in the amount of $7~738.25 and Minneapolis <br />~quipment in the amount of $9,050.00. Mr. Forsberg recommended that <br />the bid be acaarded to Hayden Murphy with a change order not to exceed <br />$500.00 to switch the order to a diesel air compressor. Mr. I'orsberg <br />explained that he and the TJtility Department decided that the City <br />should be purchasing some of its equipment with the diesel feature. <br />Mr. Forsberg introduced the f.ollocaing resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-2-108 - ACCEPTING TI(L' BID OF HAYDEN <br />MURPHY IN TI[E AMOUNT OF $6~741.00 FOR AN AIR COMPRESSOR <br />AND ADDING A CHANGE ORDER TO TF[IS BID NOT TO L'XCEED $500 <br />FOR THE POSSIBLE PURCIIASF. OF A DIESEL AIR COMPRESSOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Forsber~, Scalae, [ianson, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This xesolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 68, <br />jdater Loss Mr. Forsberg reported that the City staff is continuing to work on the <br />City's water loss situation, The IItility D~partment is working with <br />the City oE St. Paul and there is a possibility that it could be at <br />the metex. <br />Mrs. ScAlze informed the Council that she received an anonymous phone <br />call informing her that there are people who are illegally hooked up <br />Co City water. N(r.Forsberg stated that a water audit ~ai11 find these <br />illegal hook-ups. <br />Planner's ASr. Sioeeney reported that he has reviewed the Planner's revised <br />1982 Contract contract and feels that the contract is a joint attempt to simplify <br />relationships and spe11 out certain areas that might have been <br />misunderstood. <br />Page -17- <br />
