Nardini commented that the idea might be that a sen9.or cou.l~d not <br />live with his or her childas family and get a reduced rate far that <br />f amily, <br />Mra Fahey stated that he was opposed to the osdinance the way it is <br />stated because it is selective as to who the C~.ty grants the reduced <br />rate toa It does not include people 62 yeaxs o~ age or older and are <br />not eli.gible to receive Social Security. Mr, Fahey suggested that the <br />ordinance set the age limit at 62 and have requi.remonts simi.lar to <br />the or dinanc~ dea7.ing watkz deferred assessments £or seniors. <br />Nirsa Sealze sugge~ted that income be used as a guideline. <br />~irs,P]ardini commented that there could be people who are retired who <br />do not receive social securityo <br />Mr, L'orsberg felt that the reduced rate should be granted to any senior <br />cit9.zen who comes in and applie3 ~~r £o~ ~~°~~ess theyereall,y needed 'zt, <br />are not many seniors who wou],d app y <br />Page .-13~^ <br />
