MINUT~S <br />Ci.ty Council <br />May 26, 1982 <br />Gervais Creek Mayor Hanson opened the public hearing on consideration of the Gervais <br />Office B1dg. Creek Office Building PUD. Mr. Hanson stated that the only item to <br />PUD be addressed is the park charge. <br />Agenda Mr. Tom Krejci i.nformed the Council that he would like approval to <br />Item No. 8 subdivide the property. Mr. Krejci stated that he boughl the buiLding <br />a couple of years ago wi.th the intentions of deveLoping a day care. <br />He has done this, but there is a portion of the building which is not <br />viable for a day care. lheref.ore, Mr. Krejci would Like to subdivide <br />the property and seek a buyer. ~In order to do this, he must go <br />through a PUll. <br />Mr. Krejci stated that he is buying the building on a contract-for- <br />deed, and he wi11 have to geC approval from Che School District on <br />this issue a1so. <br />Mr. Hanson commented that he has spoken to Mr. Borg on this~ and <br />Mr. Borg has no problem with it as long as the interest of the <br />School District is protected. <br />Mr. llanson asked Mr. Krejci if there would be any common areas in <br />the building. Mr. Krejci pointed out where the common area would be. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that she had a question in her mind as whether the <br />City could obtain either the tennis court or the Crails as a park <br />charge. Mr. Krejci. stated that he is sti11 unclear on the park charge, <br />but he would have no problem with the Crails. <br />Flanson astced if the City could obtain an easement for the trails as <br />a park charge. Fahey stated with an easement there would be more tax <br />money coming in to the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze reporCed that the Park Commission feels that the park charge <br />should be either land or cash, but shouid adhere to the ordinance. <br />Mr. Krejci stated that the only thing he would not be capable of wouLd <br />be to give away the tennis court. Mrs. Nardini asked if Mr. Krejci <br />was in a position to give away land with his contract-for-deed. Mr. <br />Krejci reported that he was not. 'Lhis wouLd have to go through the <br />School DisCrict. <br />'Phe Attorney stated that with a conCract-for-deed the City would need <br />the approval of both the School DistricC and Mr. Krejci. <br />Mr. Pahey asked if. atter the payments have been completed, Mr. Krejci <br />could either convey an easement or some other settlement oL the park <br />charge. <br />P2rs. Nardini stated.that with an easement Mr. Krejci is not giving <br />either cash or 1and. Pahey replied that there would sti11 be an <br />interest in land it the City obtained an easement or a lease on the <br />tennis court.
