MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 26, 1982 <br />Ordinance The City Cl.erk stated that the City does have streets where the <br />No. 183 (Cont.) blacktop i.s not on center. <br />Mrs. Scalze commented that the City should be prepared where a <br />sign could be located one foot off blacktop. <br />The Engineer agreed that there are some street5where the blacktop <br />is not exactly where it should be. Mr. Forsber~ stated that the <br />Ci.ty must go by the location of the road to establish cahere Che <br />sign wil.l go. Mrs. Scalze stated that the ordinance should say <br />five f~tLrom the blacktop. <br />13urger Kin~ The Planner commented that the I3urger King sign will stay in its <br />Sign present location. <br />Locatiori <br />The City Clerk reported that the City has received a letter from <br />Agenda Burger King regardi.ng parking lot layouL and the location of their <br />No. 13 sign. Burger King has requested that the City approve this Letter. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-5-298 - APPROVING THE <br />PLANS AS SUBMITTGD BY BtJRG~.R KING FOR <br />PARKING LAYOUT ANll THE LOCATION OL' THEIR <br />YOLE SIGN <br />The forego~ing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsber.g. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resoluCion appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 250. <br />Taco John's Mr. Pahey commented that no action is necessary on the Taco John's <br />Sign sign as t he ordinance al lows it to be five feet Irom the property 1ine. <br /> Mr. Fahey suggested that the City C1erk notify Taco John's of this. <br />Agenda <br />Item Cd~;. 14 <br /> The City Clerk reported that Mr.Brodie 1s the leasee of the A& W <br />A & W Si.gn <br />And pr.op er.ty and does not fe el he should sign the A& W Road Agreement, <br />Agreement but that the owners of t he property should sign this agreemenC. <br /> The C1erk reported that the property owners do not want to sign. A1so <br />Agenda the A& W would lilce to relocate their sign. <br />ICem No. 15 <br /> The C1erk also reported that Mr. Brodie has submitted an extended <br /> lett er of. credit to the CiCy. <br />Council suggested that action be tabled on this matter. <br />Page -20- <br />
