Mr. Porsberg aslced if the Council thought: this was <br />necessary at al.l functions or just some of. the func[ions. <br />Mrs. Nardini sCated that it would be hard to determine where to draw <br />the li.ne. <br />Mr. L'ahey suggested that the provision be kept :in the ordinance and <br />the Council ~aould then have it if it needed to be entorced. <br />rorsberg commented that there are other aceivities in the City where <br />an off-duty policeman i.s not required. <br />Scalze and Nardi.ni commented that they would lil<e to see the provi.sion <br />kept in the ordinance. <br />Mrs. Scalze statecl [ha[ concern has been expressed that the Little Canada <br />School could become 1 bi_ngo hall. Scalze sl-ated that she was concerned <br />that this would effect the Tuesday night bin~;o aL- Che Pire Barns. <br />Mr. Ilanson stated that he thought only a non-profit orp,an3.za[ion could <br />obtain a bingo permi.t. Mr. Sweeney stated tha[ che S[ate has strict <br />].egislation governin~; bingo. Sweeney sug~ested that the State could <br />pass a bingo ordinance and incorporate any part ot the State la~o it <br />wished. <br />Mrs. Scalze suggested T.hat it be made a part of the PUD that bingo not <br />be permitted< <br />Page -10- <br />
