The tlttorney <br />stated that anyone wishing to have bingo woulci have to apply to the <br />City. <br />Mrs. Scalze and Mr. Fahey sCated that they weuld lilce to see the <br />hall. completely non-bi.ngo. <br />Mr. Pahey read some restricti.ons on bi.ngo~contained in ~i.nformation <br />f:rom the League of Mi.nesota Ci.ties. It stated that Licenses must <br />be obtai.ned from local governing bodi.es< <br />Mr. I'orsberg stated tha[ he saw no problem since a bin~o permit <br />would have to be obtained from the Ci.ty. Fahey pointed out that <br />State law on this could be changed. Fahey also stated that he ~oas <br />not i.nterested in having the City Attorney research the bingo laws. <br />Mr. Hanson stated that the Attorney should checlc the leg,ali.ty oE <br />placi.ng thi.s restriction in the P[JD. <br />Senior The City Attorney stated that he has hacl a couple of ineetin~s with <br />Ci.tizen Juran & Moocty on senior citi.zen housing and wi.ll be having a meeting <br />Ilousi.ng tomorrow wiCh the owner of the property being considered as a si.te. <br /> At present the City is considering try:i.ng to trade a piece of <br />Agenda property for the si.te. <br />Item No. 15 <br /> The City Clerlc stated that the site being consi.der for a tr.ade i.s the <br /> property located on Twi.n Lalce Road. The Cierk indi.cated that Mr. <br /> Rockford has informed hi.m that the l.ess expensively the si.te is <br /> acquired, the better the chances for approval.. <br /> The Clerlc also reported that there is a seminar coming up with rep,ard <br /> to bl.ock prants.
