MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 25, 1982 <br />Game Rooms Mr. Sweeney advised the Council to look at other Game Room <br />Item No. 24 ordinances to determine what provisions they want for this <br />City to put together into an ordinance. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that a game room license should apply <br />to establishments with four or more machines. The ordinance <br />should include the distance from a school and specified hours <br />with a provision to allow for a special permit. <br />Mr. Richard Strimling, representinq the Market Place, would <br />like a clear definition of what a game room is from the City <br />of Little Canada. A proposed restaurant and game room with <br />30 machines is being planned for the Market Place. <br />Paisley Sewer Mr. Deane Paisley, 3078 Payne Ave. has been ordered to connect <br />to City sewer according to the City Code and State Law. <br />Mr. Paisley appeared before the Council requestinq an extension <br />of time to connect to the City sewer. He also questioned the <br />two water and two sewer assessments on his property. <br />Mr. Chlebeck explained the adjustments made on Mr. Paisley's <br />assessment. <br />Mr. Paisley complained of a drainage problem that has existed on <br />his property since the construction of Payne Ave. and also stated <br />that top soil was removed from his property. <br />Mr. Fahey requested the City Engineer and the City Attorney to <br />discuss whether there is a legal obligation for the City to <br />take care of this problem, and if we should replace the top <br />soil if it is a legitimate complaint. <br />The Council requested Mr. Paisley to appear at the September <br />8 Council meeting with estimates regarding the installation <br />of his sewer. The Council will decide if this cost can be <br />put on his assessments. <br />Sale of City Mr. Sweeney explained that their are statutes which provide <br />Property for procedur es aff.ecting the sale of City property. <br />Item No. 25 <br /> Mrs. Scalze reported that the neighbors on Demont would like <br /> the City to keep the property owned on Demont as a tot lot. <br /> Mr. Chlebeck is having the City property appraised. Council <br /> acti on will then be taken. <br />Attorney Mr. Sweeney reviewed the statute pertaining to the use of <br /> disc harging fire works. <br />Page -9- <br />
