Utilities Mr. Glanzer has requested that the City purchase Rockwell water meters. <br />(Cont.) They have a 15 year warranty compared to the 10 year warranty of the <br />Neptune water meters. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-4-154 - APPROVING THF PURCHASE <br />OF UP TO 100 ROCKWELL WATER METERS DURING THE YFAR. <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by D~. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberq, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Page 166. <br />Seal Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Coating <br />Bid RESOLUTION NO. 83-4-155 - CALLING FOR THE FORMAL <br />SEAL COATING BID ON MAY 6, 1983. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Page 167. <br />Utilities Mr. Glanzer explained that surface water was being pumped in the area of <br />(Cont.) A11en and DeSoto on City easement property to take care of an emergency <br />type condition. <br />The Council discussed the drainage in this area and the possible ef:fect <br />from the bicycle path on Edgerton. <br />Mr. Fahey recommended t.hat Mr. Glanzer continue pumping until he and the <br />Engineer worked together to determine if it is a City problem or not. <br />A sump pump was installed in the City Hall basement. <br />Street sweeping should begin in Little Canada on April 25, 1983. <br />Summer hours for the Public Works Department from May to October will <br />be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. <br />There will be three part-time employees in the Public Works Department <br />during the summer. <br />Blacktop Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Roller <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-4-156 - AUTHORIZING D1R. GLANZrR TO <br />PURCHASE A BLACKTOP ROLLER AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED <br />$1,500 FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMSNT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0), <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Sook No. 9, Page 168. <br />Page 6 <br />
