Mrs. Scalze replied that the business <br />(ConT..) as i.t exists i.s 2gainsC code. <br />Mr. Pooshe appeared bef:ore the Counci.l and reported that he owns 19 <br />acres in the area and he objects to the commerci.al. influence. Mr.. Li.cht stated thac <br />at this point the Counci.l's hands were tied. If the body shop had <br />been in existance before 19h2, i.t could have been continued. However, <br />the ordinance does not al.low this type of use i.n a resi<lential area. <br />IL the Cotmci.l had permitted Mr. I.ane to conti_nue, a precedent would <br />have been se[ and the Council would have had to a17.ow everyone the <br />same r.i.ght.
