MINUTES <br />City Council <br />January 25, 1984 <br />Behr The Council also discussed the fact T.ha~t the assessment is of no <br />Park St. benefit to the property owner unless the street is vacated. Since <br />Assessment Y.here are oT,her parcels concerned, the Council decided to get. <br />(Cont.) the opinion of the Attorney o^ this matter before taking action. <br />Mrs. Nardini inT,roduced the following resolution and moved it.s adopT.ion: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 84-1-40 - TABLING THE <br />BEHR ASSESSMENT AND R~EERRING IT TO <br />THG ATTORNFY. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 10, Page 46. <br />Dental Office Mr. James D. Echtenkamp appeared before Y,he Council represanting <br />Connection Dr. Howard Taylor, owner of A Dental Clinic on 50 County Road II, <br />Charges Maplewood, MinnesoT.a. <br />Mr. Echtenkamp discussed the three areas of his leY.ter, the lat,eral <br />fee, the tax levy fee and the present value factor of tax levy fee <br />concerning the proposed utility connection charges ~to the City of <br />LitTle Canada. He requests that these charqes be a fair and <br />equit.able amount. <br />In their discussion with Mr. Echtenkamp the Council relied on the <br />estimated costs written in a leYter from Bob Voto, City Auditor. <br />The charges are based on the fact that Dr. Taylor is not a citizen <br />of Little Canada and therefore does not pay taxes. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 84-1-41 - DIRECTING THE <br />CITY CLERK TO HIRE A M.A.I. APPRAISER <br />TO APPRAISE THE DENTAL PROPERTY BASED <br />ON THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND WORK <br />ALREADY COMPLETED, AND TO ARRIVE AT A <br />FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PROP~RTY. <br />SUCH APPRAI5AL WILL BE AT DR. TAYLOR'S <br />EXPENSE. <br />Zne foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />ResoluTion declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 10, Page 47. <br />Page 4 <br />
