Also, the Metropoli.tan Community Guide is <br />being redone and the City will be i.nformed cohen this is completed. <br />Mr. 6Jiger asked the Cotmcil ho~~~ the Met Council could better serve <br />the CiCy. <br />Pi.nal.ly~ Mr. Wi.ger reported ti~at the Legi.slature passed necv legi.sl.ation <br />regardi.ng the transit system and the Met Council is l.ootci.ng for a <br />person to si.t on the 7Yansit ]3oard. <br />Wiger then informed the Counci.l that hi.s staff can assi.st t:he City <br />wi.th regar.d to LAWCON grants. <br />Mrs. Nardi.ni requested that the overfl.ow matter be pressec. Mr. Wiger <br />replied that this is a top priority, <br />Judy Pletcher, area representati.ve £or tkie Metro idaste Control Commission, <br />1PPeared bef.ore the Counci.l. Ms. Pletcher reported that the Commission <br />is loolcin~ at ways to keep costs clown. <br />The Commi.ssion has addressed the I3olin Report and has concur.red with <br />its Fi.ndings excepC for the legislat.ive matters. They are noing <br />forcaard with a management study and looking at the whole operat:ion <br />to provide the best service at the least cost. <br />Ms. I'letcher poi.nCed ouC that just ~i.n legal fees the Commission has <br />saved, by hiri.ng an i.nternal attorney, ~140,000 since September. <br />Pl.etcher assured the Counci.l. that the Commissi.on ~aould do its best <br />to l~oLd costs. <br />Mrs. Nardini aske<t the status of. the Met:ro Sewer interceptor Li.ne <br />to go through Little Canada. Pletcher felt that this must still be <br />in the planni.ng sta~;es as i.t has not gone through the.
