MIN~TES <br />City Council <br />August 22, 1984 <br />Cecka The Park Commission has recommended a proposed park in the <br />(Cont.) Allen Ave. Area Pla~. The proposed park and parking spaces <br />were discussed by the Council. <br />Mr. Cecka appeared before the Council and reported on the Park <br />Commission meetinq that he attended. His objections were as <br />follows: The street would have to be improved at an estimated <br />cost of $25,000, and two or three of the lots would be only ten <br />feet away from the ballfield. <br />Mr. Cecka stated that a solution would be a culdesac backing up <br />to the park. However, he would rather contribute cash for the <br />park requirements. <br />Mr. Licht discussed the tax increment on this land. He stated <br />that the layout has problems and is constantly being amended. <br />Mrs. Scalze stated that the Park Commission planned the park for <br />the benefit of the developer. She sugqested that Mr. Cecka come <br />back with an alternative for the Park Commission. <br />Mr. Hanson suggested that Mr. Cecka put on paper his proposal of <br />the area. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-8-383 - TABLING THE <br />THUNDER BAY PRELIMINARY PLAT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (4) Hanson, Scalze, Nardini, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book NO. 11, Paqe 399. <br />Filling on Mr. Carley read a letter sent to him and Frank Frattalone which <br />Round Lake authorizes the removal from Round Lake of sand coming from the <br />storm sewer. Mr. Chlebeck recommended that the matter be <br />brought back on September 12 for review so it can be put into <br />proper form. <br />Carle Mr. Licht stated that Mr. Carle informed him that he is unable <br />Landscaping to meet his landscaping deadline. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-8-384 - EXTENDING THE <br />BUILDING COMPLETION TIME FOR THE CARLE <br />DEVELOPMENT UNTIL DECEMBER 1, 1984 SUBJECT <br />TO THE COMPLETION BY OCTOBER 1 OF TI1E STORAGE <br />SCREEN IN THE PLANS. <br />Page 7 <br />
